Last night the moon shone down
With a golden amber glow
On a world so cold
And white with snow
So soft the breezes blow
Through the pine heavy with snow
Listen to the silence
Of a quiet winter's night
Snow that sparkles like diamonds
In the moon's gentle light
See the beauty of the land
So silent and still
See the early morning sunrise
Creeping over the hill
The world comes alive
With dreams to fulfill
This is my Canada
the land of the free
Take pride in the people
Who keep it that way for you and me
